Announcement: Higashikurume City's Public-Private Partnership On-site PPA Operational Start and Completion of LED Lighting Conversion

2025/11/01

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued patronage.

We are pleased to announce that E-TOP Corporation has introduced solar power generation equipment and storage batteries at Higashikurume City Sports Center, and has commenced an on-site PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) business.

In conjunction with this, we have also completed the conversion of their lighting equipment to LEDs.

Over the next 20 years, we will continue to supply clean energy to Higashikurume City Sports Center. Furthermore, through the energy savings achieved by the LED conversion, we will contribute to countermeasures against global warming.

In the event of a disaster, electricity from the storage batteries will be supplied to Higashikurume City Sports Center, which serves as an evacuation center.

It is worth noting that for this on-site PPA project, our company was selected as the successful bidder by Higashikurume City's proposal process and has secured subsidy from Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

Higashikurume City's Initiatives:

On March 1, Reiwa 5 (2023), Higashikurume City issued the "Higashikurume City Zero Carbon City Declaration," aiming to achieve a zero-carbon society by 2050.

In addition to conventional energy-saving efforts, the city is promoting the transition from fossil fuels to green electricity and renewable energy. By linking this with disaster risk reduction and resilience, they are fostering sustainable and resilient urban development.

Based on the "Basic Approach to Optimization for Decarbonization and Renewable Energy Utilization in Higashikurume City" formulated in August Reiwa 4 (2022), the city is comprehensively addressing global warming countermeasures, disaster risk reduction and resilience, and regional energy utilization, thereby simultaneously promoting decarbonization and solving regional challenges.
